Potala Palace in Tibet

Potala Palace is located on top of Marpo Ri hill, 130 meters above the Lhasa valley. Potala Palace is the largest monument structure in Tibet.
 Potala Palace standing intially started in 1645 in the reign of the fifth Dalai Lama and it completed in 1648 during the reign of Potrang Karpo

In 1922 the thirteenth Dalai Lama renovated Potala Palace damage due to China Tibet uprising.Potala Palace has room for 130.000 square meters. Potala Palace is used as Dalai Lama and the royal staff home.
